ABOUT SRI VENKATSHWARA
Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering established in the year 2001 in IT capital of India, BENGALURU popularly known as SVCE, BENGALURU. SVCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, Approved by AICTE, New Delhi. SVCE, BENGALURU stands always first in providing Quality and Research oriented education to the students. SVCE, BENGALURU has very good infrastructure and state of the art laboratories to cater the needs of budding engineers. The ambience of the campus will give a pleasure of learning to students, every class room is connected with projectors to make students to understand concepts effectively.
The courses offered by SVCE are B.E. (CSE/CSE-AI/ECE/ISE/ME/CIVIL), M. Tech (CIVIL - Structures) and MBA. SVCE has seven Research centres recognized by VTU in which around 70 research scholars are pursuing their doctoral degree. Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Civil Engineering are accredited by NBA. NAAC peer team visit is completed and awaiting for final results. SVCE got institutional rating by QS I•GAUGE in Gold band and also recognized as QS-IGUAGE E-Learning ready institution. SVCE is equipped with 440 kW capacity solar power generation unit, the excess power generated is supplied to grid. MSME, Govt. of India has approved for setting up of Business Incubator at SVCE, Bengaluru. MSME, Govt. of India has approved for setting up of Intellectual Property Facilitation centre (IPFC) at SVCE. SVCE has established IIC cell supported by MHRD innovation cell, New Delhi and AICTE, New Delhi. In order to inculcate Research and Innovation skills amongst students SVCE has established a research center Q-RIDES (Quality in Research, Innovation, Development/Design, Entrepreneurship and Startup) inside the campus to encourage students toward Incubation, Startups and Patents. SVCE has its own Incubation and Startup policy designed based on National Startup Policy to attract startups to establish their office inside the campus. As of now we have 3 Startups inside campus where they are working on different products like 3D printing, IT consulting and Room Fresheners etc. SVCE has established Biofuel R & D unit in the year 2014 under the umbrella of Research Centre of Mechanical Engineering Department. The R & D unit has all basic production, characterization and testing facilities.
SVCE has hosted SMART INDIA HACKATHON which is a MHRD / AICTE initiative, four years continuously. The institute is also having center of excellence in the field of Networking from Cisco, Automobiles from Toyota Kirloskar Motors Pvt Ltd., and Robotic Technology Transformation Center to promote research culture. The institute is also offering consultancy services to both Government and private organizations like Bangalore International Airport etc., The institute has also received research grants from ISRO, DST, AICTE, KSCST, VGST and other funding agencies.

SVCE Bangalore Placements 2024: A dedicated training and placement cell is available at the Sri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, Bangalore to assist students in receiving better job offers from large corporations. Students who want to work at famous companies can receive assistance from the SVCE Bangalore Placement Department. Alumni are frequently invited by the SVCE Bangalore placements department to offer the knowledge necessary for students to do well in group discussions and interviews. The 2024 placements concluded with 90.20% of the students placed. The highest package offered during 2024 placement was INR 46.47 LPA. Further, the average package offered during Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering placements 2024 stood at INR 5.70 LPA. KLA Technologies, Amazon, Sahaj.ai, and many other leading companies participated in the 2024 placement session.
HOSTEL
Boys Hostel
SVCE Bangalore facilities include a separate hostel for boys. In the boys’ hostel, there is 24x7 electricity and a Wi-Fi facility available. Girls Hostel
A separate hostel for girls is available at SVCE Bangalore. The girls' hostel has electricity and Wi-Fi available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Medical/Hospital
The institute has a dispensary where teachers and students can get help in an emergency situation. During college hours, a doctor and a nurse are on call in case of an emergency.
Library
SVCE Bangalore facilities and infrastructure includes a well-equipped library on the campus for students and teachers. SVCE Bangalore library has a large collection of textbooks, reference books and bound volumes of journals, periodicals etc. The library is located on the right-wing of the main building and has a seating capacity of 150 people. It is spread over an area of 819.15 square metres. The LIBSOFT library management software with the OPAC function is used to computerise and automate library services. The library has implemented an open access policy, with all books barcoded and circulation controlled using LIBSOFT library management software and a barcode scanner. Sports Indoor and outdoor sports facilities are available at SVCE Bangalore. The hostel has indoor games such as carrom, table tennis, and chess. A well-equipped football ground and cricket fields are available at the campus. SVCE Bangalore sports facilities include a field for hockey, a handball court, a volleyball court, and a badminton court.
I.T Infrastructure
The institute has a computer center with a fiber optic network and high-speed LAN. The computer center features a leased line that provides 24x7 internet connectivity to the institute.
Cafeteria
For students, all meals are prepared on campus by a team of onsite chefs. The staff and students of SVCE Bangalore have access to a fully functional vegetarian and non-vegetarian cafeteria that serves hygienically prepared meals. Government of India Hindi Scholarships for Hindi students whose mother tongue is not Hindi. Students at the university have access to both government and private scholarships. Meritorious students who require financial aid can apply to see if they qualify. The following are some of the scholarships available at the college:
Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities: Students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds are given students. This scholarship aims to assist in providing equitable opportunities for everybody. The applicant must have received at least 50% in the previous examinations and both parents' yearly income must not exceed Rs 2 LPA. The Rs 3,000 PA and Rs 570 maintenance scholarship will be provided for one academic year, with the possibility of renewal if a 50 per cent aggregate score is attained in the end-of-year tests.
Merit Cum Means Professional and Technical Course Scholarship: This is a government-funded scholarship for bright students who need financial assistance. All applicants must have received at least a 50% on their most recent exam to be accepted for this award. Furthermore, neither parent's annual income may surpass Rs 2.50 Lakhs per annum. The scholarship is worth Rs 20,000 per year, with day scholars earning Rs 500 in maintenance allowance and hostellers earning Rs 1,000.
B.Tech Fee Structure at SVCE
The institute offers an engineering degree program for 4 years for the candidates who seek admission through intermediate. For the candidates who seek admission through a diploma course, the engineering course will be for 3 years. The eligibility for admission will be based on the candidates' score in KCET or COMEDK entrance examination. The B.Tech course fee at this institute is approximately INR 125000/- for one year.
